Everything could work (lights, winch, etc.) But if the volts aren't high enough it won't crank, only click. You can check fuses and relays, will be a cheaper and easier fix than a new battery. Mar 30, 2020 · it does get spark and fuel. after hepl with troubleshooting i found the the ECM connector was burnt at the connector point. id di replace the ECM and the entire wire harness. but it did not fix it. it still cranks but will not start. when the engine cranks with the key , the engine sound good with no internal noise. Line up the cam gear with the xrank pin pointing toward the top of the cylinder. Then pull rhe 14 mm bolt on the top of the stator housing. You should see a timing mark on the stator. If you dont turn the cam gear one more revolution. If you dont see the timing mark on either position.Mine starts up every single time on the second or third crank. Definitely not slow to start! Put a little fuel starter in inlet to carb (remove air cleaner, spray a few seconds, place filter back on then try starting). Even if the engine is shot, it should start, it'll either sound ok or will make loud banging sounds. Best of luck, I give it 50/50 odds, could be ok. Don't give up yet.

If you do then you know your ignition is working. If you do have a spark then pour some gas down the cylander and put back plug and see if it fires.
