I swapped the glow plugs then went to start it and it would crank but not start. I have done a couple things to try and diagnose the issue but cant seem to figure it out and cant find an answer online.Grand Junction, Co. Aug 31, 2012. #2. Pull your crank shaft position sensor out and make sure your reluctor ring is still tight if its loose the sensor won't read a signal to send to the ficm hope this helps ran into similar problem and found that all the bolts had backed off so the ring wasnt even attached to the crank shaft.5283 posts · Joined 2009. #3 · Oct 19, 2020. P0340 is Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit. It will not set the same code for camshaft sensor error, that has its own set of codes for crankshaft errors.
