Mini splits work ok for dehumidification. However I feel like it's a bonus extra feature. It shouldn't be sold and installed for this purpose. The main function is heating and cooling. The average 12k mini split should remove around 1L per hour. But you tend to notice too much temperature fluctuation so is better used when you're not in the space.
