Here's a few details I've noticed: 1. This tends to happen more at night than during the day, and during cold weather more than warm. However, it has happened in warm weather during the day. 2. After shutting the car off, sometimes the tach will wind back about 200-300 RPM after about 15 seconds.The first one can be fixed just by a PCM software update. I would advise you have this done anyway. The second one is caused by a bad speed sensor (s).
