Key not turning in ignition

The lock wont`t turn because the some of the flanges (2x6) in the inner cylinder are too much worn. The flanges are made of some softer material than the key. (copper or brass). It`s never the keys fault. The flanges get worn against the key surface and move further and further outwards.
