Light has the most i-frames, with the fastest longest dodge. Medium has slightly less than light i-frames and slightly slower. It is based on percentage of ur total equipment load. i frames and distance is the differance, you go like 10% further and have way more i frames.

In Elden ring you can have over 100 poise and still get steamrolled by fucking rats and dogs. To put this in perspective the difference between 10 poise and 60 poise is exactly 1 extra arrow to the head, shot by a low level guardsman outside stormveil. That's not a fair comparison, headshots do massive poise damage. I kind of agree, medium roll feels better in Elden Ring to me and I've not been able to put my finger on why exactly. Every souls game before this I always made sure I met the light roll ratio, even if it meant being naked. Yet now in Elden Ring, I want to be heavy enough to be medium. Something feels very different about it, in a good way.
