Statistically, CSU Long Beach is a harder school to get into. Only 25-30% of people get accepted while CSU La and Northridge are easier to get into. You can find all these statistics online. You should congratulate yourself for getting into CSU Long Beach~ there are a lot of people that get rejected with above 3.5 gpa's from high schools.Way too much traffic to deal with heading to long beach. Although CSUF has the better business program, it's harder than it has to be, and it grades based on a plus-minus grading system where an A- is a 3.7, but an A and A+ are still 4.0. CSULB is better all-around, and it grades with whole-letter grades. Both colleges provide on-campus living options. Cal State Long Beach charges for on-campus living, while Cal State Fullerton charges N/A for on-campus living. Clubs are okay. Csulb likes to keep professors even if they suck, and their reviews are bad, (cheating scandal even happening right now). The csulb president isn't highly regarded imo. Class counselors sucks, I was placed in a wrong class, which required me to stay an extra semester because I missed a prerequisite.People saying that SDSU focuses on "practical" while UCSD focuses on theoretical really isn’t true. All things academic are theoretical in the end because they’re classes but only UCSD will give you access to cutting edge research and players in the field.
