You need half of the hide to mount it up. 1 deer was a young buck with a 18 neck. The other one was a Huge deer with a 25 neck. They might be sculpted to give the big buck look and it shows as well.

I agree it needs to be hung high on the wall and works best with a bigger buck who would display dominance.
