Same things happen with the defense. I've set CPU defense sliders all to 0 and in some games the score goes to an absurd 117-0 while in others they play like it's on All-Madden with 70+ sliders. All in all, how effective the sliders are depends on how effective the game wants them to be at that moment.

All this penalty talk made me redownload Madden 16 on my Xbox Series X. OMG how in the world went from Madden 16 to what we have today is very sad. Penalty sliders actually work.
