Tried the government, but way too much wind that made it not fun fishing, so we found a kinda sheltered pretty shallow shoreline and missed 3 fish before landing 3 pike. It's fun figuring out a new area that holds fish that goes against the grain of typical "rules".

First Quarter. No school for the boy 4/15, so we put in at Olin and spent a few hours in Monona Bay 12:30-3:00. He stayed busy. 4 crappies and 20+ gills between the two of us, with a handful of real nice ones. Everything let go. Gulp minnows and gulp red worms. Fish were aggressive, often hitting it on the drop. Last Quarter. Partly Sunny 53°. Water: 53°. Rock Piles. I had a couple trips in the lower bay over the last few weeks, with good success on big post spawn walleyes and some great eating size fish too. Yesterday, Mark, Jacob and I put 12 nice walleyes in the boat casting hair jigs. Mark scored honors with his 28.5” beast.
