Kylen obviously suffers from low self esteem and some other problems and being away from her parents gives her no type of support because Jason's parents seem as afraid of Jason as Kylen. Jason has pretty much taken this girl as a hostage and can abuse her at his whim because she does not have the power or support to get away from him.

It could be used for evidence in the future if hopefully Kylen finally leaves him or needs to file a PFA. TLC just needs to post a disclaimer like MTV does. We can’t just tell them to take the show off and ignore it. If they would have never been chosen for this show, this abuse would still be happening.
