Now I know this isn't end of the world hot,but it's noticably hotter than it has ever ...U might jack it up and check how free the wheels rotate. That would create some heat depending on how bad the caliper was sticking without necessarily much associated smell especially if your running ceramic pads. Happened to our WJ twice, front left NAPA caliper frozen so only Centrics 4 me now.

Mine only appears to be running hot after I have been going down the road and have the A/c on. If I turn the A/C off, the temp goes back down after a mile or so. Speed does not seem to matter... only the A/C running. The jeep is a 2004 4.0L 5 speed. I am not the original owner but have had the jeep for more than 2 years.

Noticed yesterday that the jeep was running really hot, hot enough actually to make the idiot chime tell me to look at the gauges. When I started actually paying close attention to it the needle was staying at the third little hash mark on the gauge (so technical right).

Its been going on since we go the Jeep, dealership is still playing dumb. Just waiting for the Lemon Law ruling to come through, but I'm done with Jeep and the dealership whom I spend over $250,000 with last year.
