Once you have it loose and off, you will see that in the gears, there is some very thick, gummy, stiff grease. Clean out all of that grease.

Jan 12, 2023 · Hi, I purchased a 2022 Honda Rubicon with the DCT transmission that has the high and low range shifter. I am having issues shifting from high to low and vice versa. I get a grinding, clunking noise. It will go into gear after going back and forth from drive to reverse, but it can take four or five tries before it does finally go into low range.

Now, replace all that grease with a liberal amount of ALL-temperature, White Lithium Grease. Reassemble, and your shifting will be better. This works for all ES models except the Rincon. This Rancher comes with EPS. The machine is on the lighter side at 686 pounds, and the steering makes the machine feel like it’s 400 pounds. Dropped off my Rubicon at dealers today. The same problem as described above, after an hour of riding the DCT transmission will not shift.
