856 posts · Joined 2022. #3 · Nov 7, 2022. Actually size and weight do matter to me, at least a 4" barrel, the SR 22 has a 4" model, the P322 is right in that range also as is the Glock 44 22lr. I didn't mention Kel Tec because I've already narrowed it down to the models/ Brands I mentioned.
TX22 is proven with after market support for mag extensions and other upgrades; a new compact just came out aswell that has a optics cut for 507k footprints. The tx22 also feels like a gun not a toy unlike some other polymer 22lr …

TX22 has cheaper mags. The P322 does not feel cheap like the TX22. The P322 has nicer factory sights. The base model TX22 is not optics ready. You have to get the TX22 competition model or compact model if you want to put a dot on it. The P322 is optics ready. The P322 is hammer fired while the TX22 is striker fired.

Personally I'll take 16 easy to load rounds over 20 finicky to load any day. Accuracy wise, with my guns I have to give a slight nod to the Sig even with an inch shorter barrel than my TX22 Comp. Comfort, the TX22 is better in my hand but a Pachmayr slip on grip goes a very along way on the P322. Anytime you see the Sig magazine in the first video when it's not fully loaded, you can see the ammo is loaded opposite how Sig suggests for best performance. Went with the Tx 22 because of reports that it can shoot anything. From what I read the P22 can have trouble with cheaper bulk ammo (including thunderbolts). Otherwise they seemed to be well matched.
