On a routine visit for service, I asked the service dept to help me reset the passenger window. After the dealer reset failed to correct the window bounce, the service writer just use a screwdriver to clean out gunk in the window's upper channel. Problem solved! The bounce was just caused by gunk blocking full closure.1. Close the driver’s door. 2. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position. 3. The drivers window just started acting up regularly and the passenger occasionally, but it is not used as often. After disconnecting the battery, charging it, and hooking it back up, I have some problems with the power windows. The Outback has been starting and running fine though. 1. Using the passenger side switch to reset it, just put it half way up and stop, then pull all the way up and hold the switch until it stops. Then push it all the way down and hold until it stops. UPDATE: Yes, my Driver Monitoring System does occasionally turn off. This usually happens when the sun is hitting the sensor directly. Might also happen when the dash gets hot but can';t verify that. The "Keep Eyes on the Road" warning rarely goes crazy but having sun on my glasses can cause that.Driver window issue. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash.
