Strong or strongest build? I started two toons before. I tried a 2h warder and a pet class. Both were fun till I started getting around the mid 30's and things just got really hard. I'm guessing I was just building them wrong to be honest, but after hitting a wall, I just kind of quit for awhile.

For lightning damage spellcasters like you described I would say Demo, but be warned that Elementalist class doesn't have a good reputation for whatever reason.
