I run Ophidia Spathe exclusively on my Hunter, and I have to say that middle tree gunslinger is one of the best ways to go. You can use an arc cloak which has the mods "hands-on" which gives you super energy on melee kills. The perk "playing with fire" Regens your melee quicker the more kills you get while an enemy is burning with your knife.It only works for stasis empowerment in the story mode.
