Is the Cva accura really a better choice given the constraints of open sights or would be optima be better for the money? My thinking is the accura is for longer range, but without a scope I wonder if the optima will be about the same performance out …
I bought a CVA Optima many years ago. I love it. I hear the Accura is great but have never shot one. I highly recommend Blackhorn 209 powder. Non corrosive, I can shoot many rounds between a full cleaning with no issues. Their two both have awesome feeling triggers, probably 3 pounds and zero creep. Mine, however, has the lightest trigger I've ever felt. Description. Better trigger, better release lever design, supposedly a better barrel( similar to the one used in the accura), little bit different stock shape. My Wolf will shoot 100 loose grains of 777 with a MMP sabot and 305 grain lead bullets and WW209 for about $.80 a shot powder and all all day long into 1.25 inches at 120 yards.The CVA Wolf works great with 777 under a 100grs.
