Disabling SMT will improve single-threaded performance, resulting in an improved frame rate. Also, put the resolution at 0.5X (360p/540p) and limit the TDP to 11.
CEMU is the way to go if you want to play Breath of the Wild on your PC or Steam Deck, don't get me wrong, Yuzu and Ryujinx are great emulators, but CEMU has years of optimization, nowadays you don't even need a good PC to run perfectly and still support online games like Mario Kart.Steam deck has taken away a lot of the uses for my hacked Switch. But it still has some uses. Most switch exclusives won't emulate well on yuzu yet. And there is no substitute for Splatoon 3 and Mario Maker 2 online outside of an actual Switch.Then, in desktop mode, start cemu through steam. If it shows your games, great. If not you might need to add the games folder in the settings, and the mlc folder. Afterwards you should see botw in the list. Pokemon Legends Arceus works at solid 30fps with Vulkan. Switch to OpelGL it's in the 10-12fps range with many dips to 1-2 FPS whenever new shaders come up (Vulkan only dips to 10-15fps at these points). Honestly I had trouble too when trying to install yuzu natively on the steamdeck. Breath of the wild in yuzu is great and completely playable (by my standards) Always over 20 fps, and mostly on 30 is enough for me, I can turn off the fps counter and bam! Have been playing like this for 9h+, having a great time. This really gives me hope of playing the upcoming "tears of the kingdom" release in the deck.
