One plank will put up one barricade, but you can repeat the process 4 or 5 times to fully barricade it. Make sure the equipment needed is in your main inventory, and not a bag, and you should be fine :) #8. Make a new save with that disabled and see if you can baracade again. While they may not see quite as well as you, don't turn on the lights at night, close the curtains, keep your clothes clean, and stay quiet if any are close by.
