I removed the skid pan and found a tube that was coming out of the engine that was leaking. When you get in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear you can give it gas but it will not speed up right away, it will start speeding up slowly and once it gets enough speed it runs fine, or until you change to the next gear. It kinda feels like it is winding up like a fully automatic atv does. My Prairie 400 (liquid cooled) has absolutely no fins on the head or cylinder. If you have any at all, it is the 300cc. The 300cc is oil/air cooled so that "mini radiator" you spotted would be the oil cooler. It's mounted up really high and has screw on compression fittings instead of 3/4" coolant hose with regular car type hose clamps.Unplug it and check the wires for power. One should have power. If neither has power with the ignition on then check the fuses. If one does have power then jump it to the other. If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan. If there is power, the fan is no good.

Checked the oil level and it is fine and the coolent level is fine.It would act as if not getting fuel like a vapor lock. AFter a while it would start back up. I had been told once by a ute racer that the check valve/tank breather that comes out of the tank and is in line on the right side rear would do that. I by passed it with an in-line filter and had no problems.

If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan. If there is power, the fan is no good.

Rode it the first time for about 10 minutes and overheat light came on. Checked coolant resevoir and it was full, however the radiator took quite a bit of water.
