Although the cue is new, I did notice there were two nicks in the shaft rather close to each other. I know these can be pulled out, but I will leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Sorry to say. it's only a little better in value compared to the newer ones. A plain one might auction for $200 - $250 if it's straight. I'm referring to the Joss logo in gold letters on the joint and shaft collars - 1980's logo. Look closely at the top of the joint pin - you might see a tiny Joss logo on it. Chris.

Sweetest piece of wood I've ever hit balls with, and I've owned custom cues by people with "names" in the industry. $750 for a cue that would have costed thousands from a "custom" cuemaker.
