Obviously hype mage is better but bers is second best. Maybe with a fat archer setup you can do it faster but I used a 400M archer setup and did it a bit faster sometimes but also died around 50% of the time. There's no need for that single target dps (which is the whole point of the play stile), since even a spirit scepter could do enough damage to kill the wither bosses. If you really wanna go for it, hype is not required since SS is as good as hyp at clear/boss with enough cata levels. Mage is useless in F7 without Hyperion. The whole point of mage is to clear rooms fast, and spirit sceptre Nons will clear a room 10x slower than a hype mage. They also do 10x less average damage.
