Oct 1, 2014 · echo srm 225 help. Hi. I have an echo srm 225 that runs, but bogs down and stalls when I give it gas. I have cleaned the carb 3 times, took off the muffler and ran it--same. When it did run, I noticed there was gas in the air filter. I have not yet changed out the diaphragm and gasket. Check the spark arrestor screen in the muffler, and exhaust ... As for The edgers, (pe 200, 225, and attachment for the 230) they all lacked power to be of use to me. The 225 was like new when given to me by my bro in law. He said it was too much trouble to use on his driveway. I tried using for a while and it would bog down at any resistance (thick grass, dirt, etc.) I found it to be useless to me.I got an Echo SRM-210 free from CraigsList recently, and have been having difficulty with it overall. I got it working, but then it began behaving really strangely - bogging down at what I thought were odd times.
